A website experience refresh for Chrome Remote Desktop.

Project Overview
This product provides users with remote access and remote support functionality to users who wish to gain remote access to their devices or support others.

Huge was tasked with evolving the Chrome Remote Desktop to make it more modern, globally inclusive, and accessible.

For this design refresh, the main goal was for the homepage to look and feel like a consumer-facing website with strong design values and a clean UI, providing new users with a high-level overview of the product.

We had a very extensive process where we carried out the research, design audits, user workflows, design libraries, etc.

The first step of the process was to conduct a visual audit of the site. Also, we recollect feedback from the users internally and outside. We defined a list of prioritization of the site needs with the results, starting with the header restructure. We created a more understandable header reorganizing the sections to allow the users to find the content.

To guide the user, we organized the homepage with a modular system, which will function in an easier way for the user to find the product information. We found some pain points as laking of a product introduction, footer, no language selector, no brand defined, and many others.

We also worked with the in-product system, the Google internal tool. Here we found a simple solution to apply Material design styles, matching everything with the actual browser.

The illustration's key characteristics we focus on were to create a visual language that was purposefully imperfect with organic figures, playful capturing Google spirit, and Chrome palette.

Also, we wanted something invited and evocative, prioritizing emotional and sensory appeal.
